Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Ankita, the founder of Twirly Tress.

Twirly Tress began in May 2025, with my very first sale on the 1st of May. What started as a simple love for hair bows and styling them on myself slowly turned into something much bigger. I’ve always loved how small accessories can completely transform a look and add a touch of personality. One day I simply thought — why not turn this love into something real?

At the time, I was working in a stable corporate job, managing a team and living what many would call a secure and comfortable life. But deep inside, I felt the desire to build something of my own.

So while working full-time, I started Twirly Tress as a side hustle. I sold my first bows to colleagues, even setting up a small pop-up in my office. Seeing people genuinely love and buy something I created was a feeling I can’t describe.

By September, I knew I had to take a leap of faith. I decided to resign from my job and pursue my passion wholeheartedly.

Since then, this journey has been filled with ups and downs, exhibitions, stalls, learning experiences, and countless moments that have shaped me as both a founder and a person. Every single day has been about learning, growing, and believing in the dream a little more.

Twirly Tress is not just a brand of hair accessories — it’s a reflection of passion, courage, and the belief that sometimes the smallest ideas can grow into something beautiful.

To every customer who has supported my journey so far, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and encouragement mean everything.

And now, as Twirly Tress steps into this new chapter with our website and growing community, I’m incredibly excited for everything that lies ahead.
